(1) Vendor needs to provide federal government relations firm
- Strategy:
- Work with University to formulate and execute a federal funding and policy strategy resulting in long-term funding, growth, and sustainment over the period,
- Work with constituents to prepare written communications that convey position on federal legislative and policy issues.
- As needed, participate in meetings with members and other stakeholders (private and/or public meetings/webinars, etc.) to educate attendees on federal policy and funding issues of particular interest and its stake holders.
- Other activities as defined and needed,
- Advocacy and communications:
- Advise and prepare for engagements with lawmakers, federal agencies, and administration staff,
- Identify funding opportunities and lobby executive agencies in support of interests.
- Develop vehicles through which federal appropriations flow back to meet interests.
- Establish new relationships to support emerging, evolving, and growing priorities and activities.
- Organize and handle logistics related to arranging meetings between constituents and federal delegation, Executive Agencies, and Administration stakeholders,
- Tracking and Reporting
- Relationship building and management.
