[B] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide benefits brokerage and consulting services to authority for employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, and ancillary/voluntary benefits, as well as providing expertise in meeting the future workers’ compensation insurance needs through consultation, negotiation assistance and utilization review under any agreement to the government authority located in Richmond, VA.
- Marketing authority desired insurance package through identification of appropriate carriers, analysis of proposals, provisions of recommendations, and assistance in contract negotiation; preparing, disseminating, and analyzing bid packages in accordance with authority specifications, should formal bidding of insurance packages be deemed necessary; reviewing the employee benefit package for quality of benefits provided, cost effectiveness, competitiveness, and plan administration on an annual basis; monitor ongoing contracts, including third party administrators, to insure contract compliance; analyzing claims history and insurance utilization at least quarterly; providing information on employee benefit issues, trends, and proposed or new legislation; evaluating short- and long-term disability insurance options for employees and employee assistance program options; meeting with authority human resources and administrative staff as needed; assisting in the design of employee benefit communications and participating in benefit fairs and annual enrollment process; assist with analyzing workers’ compensation insurance utilization at least quarterly; assist with workers’ compensation insurance request for proposals by providing guidance, consultation, and expertise; provide negotiating assistance with workers’ compensation contract award and/or renewal; perform other related consultation services as needed or requested.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
