[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide portable pump rental service to the government authority located in Tampa, FL.         
- Pump package is defined as a trailer mounted pump to include fifty (50) feet of hose in five (5) ten (10) foot sections per pump and must include the following:
- Trailer mounted, sound attenuated, diesel driven pumps must be no older than six years old at the start of any hurricane season. At least fifty percent (50%) of the trailer mounted, sound attenuated pumps must be no more than two years old at the start of any hurricane season. The vendor will be required to provide proof of manufacture date for each pump provided by serial
number to prove the age of equipment.
- Trailer mounted, sound attenuated pumps must be 4” or 6” in size.
- All four-inch pumps must be able to have a minimum flow capacity of 640 gallons per minute and handle a minimum of two-inch solids.
- All six-inch pumps must be able to have a minimum flow capacity of 1430 gallons per minute and handle a minimum of three-inch solids.
- The successful bidder must have a primary center of operations within a reasonable distance, as determined by county staff (approximately fifty-mile radius) of the Brandon Support Complex.
- After receipt of a confirming purchase order, the standby rental period will begin upon delivery and transportation of the equipment to agency facilities.
- Standby rental rates will be in effect throughout the hurricane season until such time as a tropical storm or hurricane watch or warning is issued for the city bay area. At such a time, the Hillsborough county project manager (PM) will communicate via email that active rental rates will be instituted. The vendor will acknowledge communication via email.
- Agency is to notify the vendor weekly of location of pumps once removed from original delivery location.
- Full or running rates will be in effect until the agency PM notifies the vendor via email that the pumps are no longer in active service and have been returned to the lay down yards. The vendor will acknowledge communication via email.
(2) A contract period will be for three year.
